What's in the bag?

Today I tested out the packing and set up of the new toys needed for my next adventure.

Is anybody going to stop for me hitchhiking with all this crap?

Is it an inflatable kayak or just a glorified pool toy?

All set up and ready to go. All I need now is water.

My other new toy, a Kobo ereader. I'm quite happy with this, it was definitely time to get one.

Car repairs - the dream is still alive

My car is now almost 12 years old and has over 200,000 miles (over 320,000 km) on the odometer. I hope it gets me up to Canada and back at least one more time!

In March this ball joint broke when I was pulling out of the driveway. I had just returned home for a few minutes because I forget my camera. Awesome timing! A few minutes before or a few minutes after and things would have been bad.

With my Dads help we were able to pull the broken ball joint. The whole process turned out to be a lot easier than I would have thought.

A fixed car means the dream is still alive!
